| OFFENSE: Megan Hodge, Penn State, OH, Sr., Durham, N.C./Riverside Hodge takes home her second Player of the Week award this season after leading Penn State in wins over Ohio State and No. 7 Minnesota last week. The senior averaged 5.8 kills per set on .424 hitting as the Nittany Lions extended their winning streak to 88 straight matches. Against the Buckeyes on Wednesday, Hodge put down 16 kills at a .419 clip, also adding an ace, two blocks and 11 digs for her ninth double-double of the year. On Friday against the nationally ranked Golden Gophers, she tallied 19 hits at a .429 rate with an assist, an ace, two blocks and five saves. The weekly honor is the seventh in Hodge's career. Last PSU POW: Arielle Wilson (offense), Oct. 19, 2009 DEFENSE: Kate Nobilio, Northwestern, Sr., LIB, Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg Nobilio earns defensive accolades after guiding Northwestern to wins on the road against Purdue and Indiana over the weekend. The libero tallied 42 digs over two matches, giving her 400 or more on the season for the fourth consecutive year. The senior has 402 saves this year, bringing her career total to 2,067, which is fourth on the Big Ten's all-time list. Nobilio also received serves with 98 percent accuracy, executing on 52 of 53 opportunities. The weekly accolade is the senior's second this season and the fourth in her career. Last NU POW: Kate Nobilio (defense), Aug. 31, 2009 CO-FRESHMAN: Erin Johnson, Illinois, MB, Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake South Johnson helped the Illini to road wins against Indiana and Purdue over the weekend, averaging 2.3 kills per set on .536 hitting. With nine kills against the Hoosiers on Friday, she nearly gave Illinois the victory in the fourth set with three hits down the stretch, then helped Illinois build a lead in the fifth set with two kills. The following night vs. Purdue, she once again tallied nine kills, also tacking on a dig, an assist and two blocks in the sweep. The weekly honor is Johnson's first. Last ILL FOW: N/A Darcy Dorton, Penn State, OH, Muncie, Ind./Delta Dorton takes home her fifth Freshman of the Week award after helping Penn State extend its winning streak to 88 matches with sweeps over Ohio State and No. 7 Minnesota. The freshman averaged three kills per set on .361 hitting, also contributing a dig in each match and three total blocks on the weekend. She was one of three players to tally double-digit kills against the Buckeyes on Wednesday before leading her team in attack percentage on Friday with a .636 clip against the Golden Gophers.
