Hulsey Named Big Ten Network VP, Production/Executive Producer

Emmy-winning, 10-year Fox Sports veteran brings college, professional sports experience

CHICAGO – The Big Ten Network has hired Mark Hulsey as its new Vice President, Production and Executive Producer.  Hulsey comes to Chicago after serving as the Executive Producer at Fox Sports Midwest/Fox Sports Indiana/Fox Sports Kansas City since 2000.

"We're very fortunate to add someone of Mark Hulsey's caliber to our team," Big Ten Network President Mark Silverman said. "With 20 years of managerial experience, including nearly 10 years at FSN Midwest, Mark is the right person to lead our production staff during this next phase of our growth."

"The Big Ten Network has already made enormous strides during its first two years on the air and I look forward to contributing to its future success," Hulsey said. "Having grown up in the Midwest and spending all of my life here, I'm very familiar with the great traditions and rivalries in the Big Ten. I can't wait to get started."

Under Hulsey's direction, FSN Midwest annually produces more than 450 live events for seven universities and professional sports teams in a six-state region, including Kansas State University, University of Missouri and University of Nebraska, Indiana Pacers, Kansas City Royals, St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals. Additionally, he oversees all live event pre-game and post-game coverage, collegiate preview shows and 30-minute specials.

During Hulsey's tenure, Fox Sports Midwest won multiple Emmy awards for best Live Event Special for coverage of the Cardinals and Blues. 

Prior to joining Fox, Hulsey served as the VP, Broadcasting for four years with the Phoenix Coyotes. His career also included stints with the Colorado Avalanche and the Denver Nuggets. Hulsey is a graduate of the University of Kansas.
