They are epic sports battles that are etched in hearts and minds of Big Ten fans across the nation. They are unforgettable moments that stir passion and pride. They are echoes of both triumphant victories and devastating defeats. Throughout the winter, college football fans will have the opportunity to relive the best of those match-ups on the Big Ten Network series, "The Big Ten's Greatest Games." The Big Ten Network will also televise classic games throughout the basketball season.

August 26
2000 Michigan vs. Alabama (Orange Bowl)
In a battle of two top-10 teams, Alabama saw a 14-point second half lead slip away as Tom Brady amassed 369 yards passing along with four touchdowns. Knotted at 28 in overtime, Michigan scored on its first possession. Alabama answered with a score of its own, but blew the extra point giving Michigan the 35-34 victory.
August 28
1990 Colorado at Illinois
Illinois handed Colorado their only loss during the Buffalos' National Championship season, roaring back from a 17-3 deficit to upset the Buffaloes, 23-22. The Fighting Illini engineered a 63-yard game-winning march capped by a Howard Griffith touchdown run.
September 2
2000 Northwestern at Wisconsin
Wisconsin's Michael Bennett carried the ball 48 times for 293 yards but it still wasn't enough to take down Northwestern. The Wildcats racked 544 yards of total offense en route to their 47-44 double overtime victory.

1998 Purdue vs. Kansas State (Alamo Bowl)
Alamo Bowl MVP Drew Brees led the Boilermakers on a game-winning, 80-yard drive with 30 seconds left to clinch victory for Purdue. Brees racked up 230 yards and three touchdowns in this high-scoring 37-34 comeback win against fourth-ranked Kansas State.
September 9
1983 Penn State vs. Georgia (Sugar Bowl)
In a battle of #1 vs. #2, Penn State won its first consensus National Championship, 27-23, by holding off a high powered Georgia offense led by Heisman winner Herschel Walker.
September 11
2000 Oregon at Wisconsin
Wisconsin running back Michael Bennett powered his way through the Ducks for 290 yards rushing. Oregon quarterback Joey Harrington compiled 361 yards in the air but the Badger defense forced three costly interceptions, ultimately leading to a 27-23 victory for Wisconsin.
September 16
2005 Iowa vs. LSU (Capital One Bowl)
In one of the most amazing finishes in Iowa football history, the Hawkeyes defeated JaMarcus Russell and the LSU Tigers on a Hail Mary pass by Drew Tate as time expired to shock Coach Nick Saban's squad, 30-25.
September 18
2003 NC State at Ohio State
Despite four touchdowns from NC State quarterback Philip Rivers, the Buckeyes defense made a goal line stand to seal a 44-38 victory in a triple overtime thriller.

1981 Ohio State at Minnesota
The Gopher's Mike Hohensee set school records for completions (37), pass attempts (64), yards (444) and touchdowns (5) as Minnesota knocked Ohio State out of Rose Bowl contention with a 35-31 victory.

2005 Michigan at Wisconsin
In front of 83,022 fans, one of the largest crowds in Camp Randall Stadium history, the Badgers rallied late, scoring 17 fourth quarter points to beat Michigan 23-20. John Stocco's quarterback draw with 24 seconds left fooled the Michigan defense and allowed him to scamper in for the winning score.

1988 Iowa at Indiana
A high scoring shoot-out saw Iowa quarterback Chuck Hartlieb throw for a school-record 558 yards while completing 44 of 60 pass attempts. Hoosier running back Anthony Thompson rushed for three touchdowns, but it was a key goal line stand by Indiana which preserved a 45-34 victory.

1995 Penn State at Northwestern
During an incredible ""cinderella"" season, linebacker Pat Fitzgerald led the Wildcats to their first Big Ten title in 59 years by topping Penn State 21-10, earning the team a ticket to the Rose Bowl.

2003 Michigan at Minnesota
Minnesota jumped out to an early lead on #4-ranked Michigan, but the Wolverines roared back scoring 31 points in the 4th quarter to take home a 38-35 victory.
October 9
2006 Iowa at Indiana
Indiana receiver James Hardy put forth a stellar performance grabbing three touchdowns and more than 100 yards receiving in the Hoosiers' biggest win against a ranked opponent since 1987. Freshman dual-threat quarterback Kellen Lewis accounted for four Indiana touchdowns to help clinch a 31-28 victory.
October 14
1989 Indiana at Illinois
Indiana running back and Heisman runner-up Anthony Thompson broke the previous NCAA record for career touchdowns (65) during this contest. However, Illini quarterback Jeff George racked up five touchdown passes of his own guiding his team to a 41-28 victory. The win helped propel No. 12 Illinois to a 10-2 season.
October 16
2005 Purdue at Minnesota
Minnesota upset #11 Purdue in a double overtime clash largely thanks to Laurence Maroney's career-high 217 yards rushing on an astounding 46 carries. This marked the first victory for the Gophers against the Boilermakers in seven seasons.
October 21
1999 Michigan at Michigan State
Michigan quarterback Tom Brady completed 30-of-41 passes for 285 yards and two touchdowns but it wasn't enough as his Michigan State counter-part Bill Burke threw for 400 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead the Spartans to a 34-31 victory over Michigan. Sophomore wide-out Plaxico Burress hauled in 10 passes for 255 yards to lead the Spartan offensive attack and the run defense was stifling, allowing just six yards on the ground.
October 23
2004 Michigan State at Michigan
Chad Henne connected with Braylon Edwards for two fourth-quarter touchdowns as the Wolverines stormed back from a 17-point deficit to force overtime against the Spartans. A third touchdown from Henne to Edwards in triple overtime sealed the game in front of the 3rd largest crowd (111,609) in Big House history.

1981 Ohio State at Stanford
A Stanford team led by star quarterback John Elway was overmatched by the Buckeyes who recovered a key fumble at the end of the game to seal a 24-19 victory.
October 30
1996 Illinois at Minnesota
Illinois running back Robert Holcombe set an Illinois record by rushing 43 times for 315 yards. This great performance wasn't enough as the Gophers' Cory Sauter capped a six-play, 80-yard march with a quarterback sneak for the go-ahead score with 46 seconds left, giving Minnesota a 23-21 win.
November 4
1984 Boston College at Penn State
Despite a great performance by Heisman winner Doug Flutie, who threw for an unbelievable 447 yards, Penn State held off 9th-ranked Boston College to come away with a 37-30 upset victory.
November 6
2002 Iowa at Penn State
In a contest between two top-10 teams, Iowa and Penn State played a barn-burner which saw Penn State rally from a three touchdown deficit in the fourth quarter, only to come up short in overtime, 42-35. Heisman trophy runner-up Brad Banks led the Hawkeyes with four touchdown passes.
November 11
2003 Wisconsin at Minnesota
The one-two punch of Gopher running backs Marion Barber and Laurence Maroney was the perfect combo to grind out a 37-34 victory over the Badgers. A last second field goal by Minnesota sealed the game in the battle for Paul Bunyan's Axe.

2002 Ohio State at Illinois
The #2 ranked Buckeyes survived a scare at Memorial Stadium sneaking away with a 23-16 victory over the Illini. Ohio State needed overtime to finish off Illinois and with the victory improved their record to 12-0 on their way to a National Championship season.

1969 Ohio State at Michigan
Woody Hayes and top-ranked Ohio State walked into Ann Arbor on a 22-game winning streak only to be upset by Bo Schembechler and a tenacious Wolverine defense 24-12. This game marked the start of what became known as the ""Ten Year War.""

1974 Michigan at Ohio State
After the 1973 classic between the two powerhouses ended in a tie, both teams wanted to leave no questions as to who deserved this year's Rose bowl berth. Archie Griffin notched his 22nd straight game with 100 yards rushing and the Buckeyes came away with the 12-10 victory as Michigan missed its third field goal of the day as time expired.

Duke at Michigan – 12/9/1989
During this battle of Final Four caliber teams, Michigan took command early on, but the Blue Devils fought back in the second half, with the teams exchanging the lead multiple times over the final minutes of play. When Duke's Greg Koubek's tip at the buzzer forced overtime, the Wolverines were more than ready. Sean Higgins scored a then career-high 32 points (7 in overtime) and Glen Rice, Rumeal Robinson and the Wolverines bested Christian Laettner and Bobby Hurley 113 - 108.
Friday, November 1
Michigan State at North Carolina - 12/1/99
With Mateen Cleaves injured, Morris Peterson scored a career-high 31 points, leading the #8 Spartans to an 86-76 victory over #2 North Carolina at Chapel Hill, ending the Tar Heels' 55-game non-conference winning streak.
Wednesday, November 21
Minnesota vs. Georgetown (NIT) - 3/31/93
In this defensive battle, the Gophers took an early lead, but the Hoyas battled back, and held the Gophers scoreless over the final minutes. With less than one second left, Georgetown's Lonnie Harrell attempted a pass to Othella Harrington for a tip-in that would have clinched a Hoyas victory. Minnesota star and NIT-Tournament MVP Voshon Leonard had other plans, however, and picked off the pass to seal the 62-61 victory.

'LSU at Ohio State - 12/31/2005
LSU's defensive strategy was to shut down the Ohio State guards, leaving center Terence Dials to carry the Buckeyes on the offensive end. Even with 24 points, Dials alone couldn't stop the Tigers and Glen 'Big Baby' Davis (who scored 25 points) from taking a comfortable 76-66 lead with just a few minutes left to play. With the game seemingly out of reach, the Buckeyes nailed four consecutive three-pointers, including the game-winner from senior Matt Sylvester with only five seconds left, to upset the Tigers 78 - 76.
Georgia Tech at Illinois - 1/22/89
After a troublesome first half, great plays by Lowell Hamilton, Tommy Hammonds and Stephen Bardo brought the Champaign-Urbana crowd of 16,000 to their feet, and brought the Illini new life. In the closing moments of a fantastic 19 point performance, guard Kendall Gill fractures his foot and the Illini are unable to clinch the victory in regulation. Illinois battled through the adversity and hung on to beat Georgia Tech 103 - 92 in double overtime, leaving them as the country's last unbeaten team, and earning them their first ever #1 ranking.

Kentucky at Indiana - 12/18/1990
Indiana coach Bob Knight used a little tough love to motivate Calbert Cheaney, who scored a dismal four points in the first half, and apparently the tactic worked. Cheaney came out and scored 19 in the second half, rallying the Hoosiers back from a halftime deficit. A three-pointer by Kentucky's Jamal Mashburn tied the game at 82 with 55 seconds to go, but foul trouble plagued Kentucky and gave Indiana the edge, as 10 of the Hoosier's final 18 points came from the foul line. Indiana eventually hung on to defeat the Wildcats 87 - 84.
Purdue vs. Duke (Great Alaska Shootout) - 11/30/2003
The Boilermaker's Kenneth Lowe scored 22 points and David Teague's career-high 19 helped Purdue upset #2 Duke 78 - 68 to win the Great Alaskan Shootout. Duke rallied in the second half, after a steal and dunk by Luol Deng narrowed the margin 49-47, but the Boilermakers hung on down the stretch, sealing the victory when Teague hit a late 3-pointer.
Wednesday, December 5
Connecticut vs. Iowa (Great Alaskan Shootout) – 11/24/1995
#10 Iowa upsets #6 Connecticut 101 - 95 at the Great Alaskan Shootout. UConn started strong, but the Hawkeyes stayed focus and kept the Huskies within reach. Iowa guard Chris Kingsbury, who scored a team high 30 points in this game, made a spectacular three-pointer with one minute remaining to tie the game at 84. Ray Allen's last chance jumper with three seconds left banked off the glass, sending the game into overtime. The Hawkeyes dominated in extra session, advancing to the tournament championship against Duke.

Indiana at Northwestern - 1/11/1988
Playing the game without 3 of their starters, Northwestern puts an end to a six-game losing streak, upsetting the defending national champion Hoosiers 66 - 64, behind a perfect 21-for-21 performance from the free-throw line. Shon Morris led the Wildcats, scoring 10 points, grabbing seven rebounds, dishing out four assists and making many other key plays that wouldn't show up in the boxscore the next morning. Morris and his teammates seemingly dove after every loose ball, leading Bobby Knight to comment, 'they just completely outplayed us'.

Iowa at Michigan State - 1/28/1993
Just ten days after the sudden, tragic death of Chris Street, Iowa beat the Spartans at home 96 - 90 in overtime. The Hawkeyes were led by seniors Val Barnes (29 points) and Acie Earl (27 points), who proudly donned Street's number 40 shaved into the back of his head. Iowa trailed by 15 with just three minutes remaining in regulation when they went on a tear, as Earl and Barnes combined to score 19 of Iowa's final 21 points in regulation. In overtime the Hawkeyes went 14-for-18 in free throws, and afterwards dedicated the win to their fallen teammate.

LSU at Illinois - 12/22/1990
The Illini and Tigers battled fiercely throughout most of the game, which saw 14 ties and 17 lead changes. Shaquille O'Neal was a force inside with 28 points and 12 rebounds while Andy Kaufman led Illinois with 25 points and nine rebounds. Down the stretch, the Illini dominated at the line, giving way to a 102-96 victory.

Iowa at Indiana - 3/1/2003
Playing through injury and sickness, Iowa took Indiana into overtime before eventually falling 91-88. Bracey Wright scored 21 points and sank the game winning 3-pointer, and Jared Reiner had a career high 25 points and 17 rebounds in the victory.
Friday, January 4
Michigan State at Minnesota - 2/13/1999
In this battle of two ranked teams with NCAA Tournament hopes, Michigan State staged a tremendous comeback in the second half, despite 29 points from the Gopher's Quincy Lewis. Mateen Cleaves drove the length of the court and hit a layup with one second remaining on the clock, cementing Michigan State's rally for an 84-82 victory that left the Golden Gophers squarely on the bubble for an NCAA tournament bid.

Indiana at Purdue - 1/18/1994
Having been swept the previous year by their intrastate rivals, Purdue looked to make a statement, and did just that. Down the stretch the lead changed hands several times, and when regulation came to an end, the game was all knotted up. In the end, the Boilermakers hung on to defeat #8 Indiana 83-76 and move into a four-way tie for first in the Big Ten.

Indiana at Illinois - 3/1/1987
On senior night, Illinois came out strong, but Indiana battled back after finding themselves down by 10 in the second half. Following a timeout, the Hoosiers worked the clock down to 7 seconds before Steve Alford missed what would have been a game winning three-pointer. After a missed free throw by the Illini's Steve Bardo, Alford heaved a desperation shot from mid-court that just missed, giving Illinois the 69-67 victory.

Ohio State at Michigan State – 1/31/1991
Ohio State suffered its first loss of the season as Steve Smith scored 26 points and Mark Montgomery added a career-high 17 to lead Michigan State to a 75-61 victory. The victory snapped Michigan State's losing streak at two games, while Ohio State lost its dream of an unbeaten season, leaving the University of Nevada-Las Vegas as the only unbeaten major-college team.

Minnesota at Wisconsin - 1/22/1990
In an epic installment to this storied rivalry, Wisconsin took control of the game early and led 57- 36 lead with just 12 minutes left to play. The Gophers slowly chipped away, outscoring the Badgers 30 - 9 over the next seven minutes, tying the game at 66. However, with less than one second left, Wisconsin's Kurt Portmann found Patrick Tompkins under the basket for a layup, giving the Badgers a 77-75 win.

Minnesota at Ohio State - 2/2/1983
In a game which saw the lead go back and forth multiple times, one overtime just wasn't enough. In the final seconds of the first overtime, Minnesota's Tommy Davis sank two free throws to force a second extra session, where the Gophers finally pulled away, defeating the Buckeyes 89 – 80, and vaulted to the top of the Big Ten standings.

Michigan State vs. Penn State- 3/09/2001
Joe Crispin made an off-balance 3-pointer with 21 seconds left, then sealed Penn State's victory with a pair of free throws as the Nittany Lions upset the Spartans 65-63 in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament. The No. 2 Spartans were the highest-ranked team Penn State (19-10) had ever beaten, and the players rushed the floor as the buzzer sounded.

Minnesota at Wisconsin - 3/8/1997
Throughout this heated rivalry #2 Minnesota and Wisconsin fought to take control of the game. In the final moments, Wisconsin's Ty Calderwood confidently sank 2 free throws, giving the Badgers the 66-65win. The loss also snapped Minnesota's 12-game win streak. Calderwood led Wisconsin with 19 points while Bobby Jackson paced Minnesota with 17 points.

Indiana at Ohio State - 2/17/1991
In a game that saw the lead change hands 16 times in the second half, neither team could manage a lead of more than 6 points. Ohio State forward Jim Jackson racked up 30 points, 11 rebounds and a game-winning assist while Indiana freshman phenom Damon Bailey scored 32 points without committing a single turnover. However, it was Treg Lee who sank the winning shot for the Buckeyes, lifting them to a 97-95 victory.

Iowa at Michigan - 1/19/1985
In a thrilling game from Ann Arbor, the Iowa Hawkeyes took the #1 team in the country to three overtimes. With just under one minute remaining in the 3rd overtime, Iowa's Al Lorenzen tipped in a shot to tie the score at 67. As the final seconds ticked off the clock, Michigan's Roy Tarpley, who scored 21 points in the game, put back a missed shot, giving Michigan a 69-67 victory.

Minnesota at Illinois - 3/9/1996
In Lou Henson's farewell game, his Illini started out strong, but couldn't maintain the momentum against the Gophers who were coming in on a 7-game winning streak and looking for an NCAA tournament bid. Minnesota overcame a 10-point deficit with nine minutes left, and when Illinois guard Kiwane Garris missed a layup with only seconds left, Minnesota hung on for a 67-66 victory.

Purdue at Indiana - 2/23/1985
In what some believed to be an attempt to energize his struggling team, Indiana Coach Bob Knight received three technical fouls, including one for throwing a chair across the court only five minutes into the game. Knight's frustration was sparked by consecutive foul calls against his players, with Indiana trailing 11-6. Despite Knight and the Hoosier's efforts, however, they still fell to the Boilermakers 72 to 63.

Purdue at Michigan – 2/18/1991
With both teams trying to position themselves for an NCAA tournament berth, Purdue and Michigan battled back and forth through regulation, and into two overtimes. Purdue was led by Craig Riley, who scored a career-high 23 points, and Jimmy Oliver, who added 20. Michigan's Demetrius Calip put in 32 points, while Purdue's Matt Painter, Chuckie White and Oliver all made key three point plays down the stretch, propelling Purdue an 83 to 77 victory.

Iowa at Northwestern - 2/8/2006
Northwestern was looking for a marquee win when they took on #18 Iowa, but the Wildcats got off to a slow start. Midway through the second half Northwestern made their move, behind the solid play of Vedran Vukusic, who put in 26 points. Vukusic converted a traditional 3-point play late in the game and the Wildcats hung on to secure the 51-48 victory.

Indiana at Minnesota - 2/9/2000
When Minnesota star John-Blair Bickerstaff was carried from the court on a stretcher after a foul by Indiana's A.J. Guyton, sophomore Joe Przybilla stepped in and scored a career-high 33 points, including the game winner with only four seconds left, leading Minnesota to a 77-75 victory.

Illinois at Indiana - 3/5/1989
The two Big Ten powerhouses went back and forth for most of the game before some last second heroics turned this game into one for the ages. Indiana's Jay Edwards hit an unthinkable shot tying the game at 67 with two seconds left. Illinois quickly called a time out and planned the perfect set up. Anderson came off a pair of screens, caught a perfect pass, and drilled a 30-footer as the buzzer sounded, giving the Illini a 70-67 victory.

Wisconsin at Ohio State - 2/25/2007
In an intense defensive struggle, #2 Ohio State upset #1 Wisconsin 49 - 48. Freshman Mike Conley showed tremendous grace under pressure, as his last second shot rolled around the front of the rim for an agonizing moment before falling in, giving Ohio State back to back Big Ten titles for the first time since 1962.

Minnesota is supposed to be part of this homecoming celebration for Joe Paterno. But, Paterno, coaching in his 400th career game, sees the Gophers stun #2 ranked Penn State, 24-23.
2006 Michigan @ Ohio State
The game of the century for the new millennium.
SEPTEMBER 11:
1999 Notre Dame @ Purdue
Last second sack on 3rd and Goal from the 1 preserves the Boilers 28-23 victory. QB Drew Brees passes for over 300 yards.
1990 Ohio State @ Iowa
A last-second TD pass gives the Buckeyes the victory, ending Iowa's Rose Bowl hopes.
SEPTEMBER 18:
2000 Notre Dame @ Michigan State
Jeff Smoker's 68 yard TD pass with/ under 2 minutes remaining gives the Spartans the victory over the Irish.
1999 Illinois @ Indiana
Antwaan Randle-El generates 422 yards total offense, and leads Indiana to a thrilling 34-31 overtime win over Illinois in Bloomington.
SEPTEMBER 25:
2000 Michigan @ Northwestern
Wild game in Evanston. Nearly 1,200 yards of combined offense. Anthony Thomas' fumble gives the Cats another shot and a 54-51 victory.
1994 Penn State @ Illinois
The Nittany Lions trail by 21 in the first but rally to win 35-31. The win clinches Paterno's first Big 10 crown, and continues their perfect season.
OCTOBER 2:
2006 Northwestern vs. Michigan State
Michigan St pulls off the biggest comeback in Div. 1 history, rallying from 35 down to defeat Northwestern, 41-38.
2002 Ohio State @ Purdue
The Buckeyes continue their undefeated run to the title as Craig Krenzel finds Michael Jenkins for the game-winning TD, as OSU wins at Purdue, 10-6.
OCTOBER 9:
2000 Northwestern @ Minnesota
The Gophers took a 35-14 lead, but Northwestern QB Zak Kustok converts five 4th down conversions, tying the score at 35. A hail mary as time expires secures the victory for the 'Cats, 41-35.
2002 Penn State @ Wisconsin
The Nittany Lions defense shuts down Wisconsin, as Penn St. wins a thriller at Camp Randall, 34-31. Joe Paterno gets his 50th Big 10 win.
OCTOBER 16:
1998 Michigan St @ Ohio State
No. 1-ranked Ohio State leads MSU 24-9 with 10 minutes left in the 3rd. But the Spartans score the game's final 19 points, shocking the Buckeyes and their home crowd. Michigan St. wins 28-24..
1999 Illinois @ Michigan
The Illini are a 24 point underdog at #9 Michigan. Trailing 27-7 in the 3rd, Kurt Kittner rallies Illinois to 4 TD's, and a 35-29 victory. The game is sealed when Illinois picks off a Tom Brady pass.
OCTOBER 23:
2001 Ohio State @ Penn State
Joe Paterno passes Bear Bryant to become the major college football career victory leader, with a 29-27 win. QB Zach Mills leads the Nittany Lions back from an 18-point 2nd half deficit.
2002 Purdue @ Iowa
The Boilers rack up 507 yards of total offense, and have a 28-24 lead late into the 4th quarter. Brad Banks leads the Hawkeyes on the game winning drive, hooking up with Dallas Clark for a 31-24 win, and a conference title.
OCTOBER 30:
1990 Michigan State @ Michigan
Michigan is ranked #1 in the Ann Arbor game. A Desmond Howard TD ties the game at 21, but a failed 2-point conversion keeps the Wolverines out of the title hunt, and gives the Spartans a 28-27 victory.
2003 Ohio St @ Wisconsin
The Wisconsin Badgers pull off the program's biggest win since the 2000 Rose Bowl. After Badger QB Jim Sorgi left the game with an injured throat, second-stringer Matt Schabert completes a beautiful throw to wide receiver Lee Evans in the fourth quarter to give Wisconsin a 17-10 victory.

1997 Michigan State @ Purdue
MSU leads 21-10 with under 3:00 minutes left. Purdue blocks a field goal attempt and returns it 62 yards for a TD. After failing to convert a 2-point conversion, the Boilermakers trail 21-16. After recovering an onside kick, Purdue drives down the field and scores the game winner with 40 seconds left.
1999 Michigan @ Wisconsin
No. 4-ranked Michigan, led by Tom Brady, heads into Madison against the defending conference champions, led by Ron Dayne. The Wolverines defense shuts down Dayne in the 2nd half, giving Big Blue a 21-16 victory.

1997 Ohio State @ Michigan
Ohio State is ranked #4, but the Wolverines are undefeated and ranked #1. Heisman winner Charles Woodson runs back a punt back for a touchdown and intercepts a pass in the Michigan end zone, as the Wolverines prevail 20-14, on their way to a share of the national championship.
2005 Wisconsin @ Minnesota
Jonathan Casillas blocks a punt and Ben Strickland recovers it in the end zone with 30 seconds left to complete a stunning rally and lift No. 23 Wisconsin to a 38-34 victory over No. 22 Minnesota.

2004 Wisconsin @ Purdue
Purdue and Wisconsin enter the game undefeated, but the Badger defense shuts down Heisman hopeful Kyle Orton in a 20-17 win.
1990 Iowa @ Michigan
Coming off a loss at Michigan State, #10 Michigan went home to take on 22nd ranked Iowa. In the end, Michigan fails to convert a 2-point conversion, giving Iowa the win and ultimately a share of the conference crown.

1993 Rose Bowl: Michigan vs. Washington
On New Year's Day 1993, running back Tyrone Wheatley and the Michigan Wolverines thwarted the Huskies' attempt to become the first team to win three Rose Bowl games in a row, winning 38-31.

Ron Dayne rushed for 246 yards and four touchdowns, leading the No. 9 Badgers to a 38-31 triumph over the UCLA Bruins in the 85th Rose Bowl.

The Buckeyes scored in the waning seconds to give Ohio State a 20-17 victory, ending Jake 'The Snake' Plummer and the Sun Devils' bid for a National Championship.
