Backed by 13 bonus points, the fourth-ranked Ohio State wrestling team downed Northwestern, 37-6, Sunday in St. John Arena. The Buckeyes won seven matches and earned points on a Wildcat forfeit at 141 pounds.
 
Bonus point leads Illinois past Wisconsin
No. 21 Illinois and No. 13 Wisconsin split the 10 bouts, but the Fighting Illini scored one more bonus point to upset the Badgers by a 19-18 score in front of 518 fans at Huff Hall Sunday.
 
Michigan State holds off Purdue, 20-13
The 24th-ranked Purdue wrestling team lost a 20-13 contest at Big Ten rival Michigan State University on Sunday, dropping to 10-9 overall and 1-5 in conference duals on the season.
 
No. 11 Penn State knocks off Michigan
Head coach Cael Sanderson’s Nittany Lion wrestling team, ranked No. 11 nationally, dominated visiting Michigan in Big Ten dual meet action, rolling to a 29-10 win.
 
Top-ranked Iowa shuts out Utah Valley
The top-ranked University of Iowa wrestling team posted its seventh shut out of the season Saturday night, blanking Utah Valley, 38-0, at Uintah High School.
 
No. 5 Minnesota holds off No. 14 Indiana
Despite Angel Escobedo and Nate Everhart improving to 27-0 and 29-0, respectively, the No. 14 Indiana University wrestling team (13-3, 2-3) dropped a 23-18 match to No. 5 Minnesota (11-4, 6-0).
 
Purdue, Michigan St. set to battle Sunday
On Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, Purdue will take on Michigan State at the Jenison Field House in East Lansing. The dual meet will be aired on the Big Ten Network at 7 p.m. ET with Tim Johnson and Mark Johnson on the call.
 
Spartans fall to Central Michigan
The Michigan State wrestling team fell to 12th-ranked Central Michigan, 23-10, on Friday (Feb. 5) night in Mt. Pleasant. MSU is now 7-5-1 while CMU improved to 13-2.
 
Gophers run away from Illinois, 27-13
No. 21 Fighting Illini dropped six consecutive bouts earlier in the match as No. 5 Minnesota took a 27-13 victory in front of a season-high 1,278 fans at Huff Hall.
 
Michigan unable to overcome Ohio State
The University of Michigan wrestling team won early and late but was unable to capitalize on several swing matches in a 29-9 loss at No. 3 Ohio State on Friday evening (Feb. 5) at St. John Arena.
