We ask, you answer.

Real simple one here today: Who was the Big Ten's best running back of the 1990s?

Tell us on Twitter.  Your responses so far:

@psukardi Best Big-10 RB of the '90s? Ki-Janna of course. He was a homerun threat every touch

@cdavis20000
Ron Dayne.

@elevenwarriors
Gotta be Eddie G

@MarkChurchill
He doesn't compare to the 2 Heisman winners or the #1 overall pick, but the Hamner argument: 3,810 yds on a bad Minn team

@MarkChurchill
1) Dayne (Wis) 2) George (OSU) 3) Wheatley (Mich) 4) Carter (PSU)-higher if he played 4 yrs 5) Hamner (Minn) 6) Alstott (Pur)

@ttuesday
gotta go with Eddie George with Ron Dayne a close second!

@dbaltman
Give me Alstott. He had a LOT less talent around him than either Eddie George or Dayne. Also, I'm a homer.

@PSUSportsSteph
Couldn't agree more! Honestly, I do think Ki-Jana Carter gets overlooked because Penn State was new to the conference.

@TimCary
re: factors against K-J Carter-I think even if we're talking strictly college, the NFL careers become a factor subconciously.

@asievers
Sedrick Shaw

@CoryStinebrink
Ron Dayne was the best Big 10 running back of the 90s.Not if you include NFL careers, but certainly hard to argue against him

@hass54
Ron Dayne

@BetweenTheLions
Carter in 93, 1026 yds 7 td. In 94 1539, 23 tds, 7.8 ypc and 2nd in Heisman. More imp Psu went 22-2 in those two yrs.

@krmcguire
What I'm saying is either Collins or Carter would have won the Heisman if they didn't split the PSU vote.

@snydermatt
If I say Howard Griffith, is he more excited about being considered great or that he belongs in the 90's and not 80's

@krmcguire
Ki-Jana Carter would have won the Heisman if he wasn't pulled in the 4th quarter in blowouts and Kerry Collins wasn't there.

@ttturner68
Mike Alstott is a Future NFL Hall of Fame'r. Won a Superbowl and was the most dominat back I ever watched in college.

@themuhmeshow
Tyrone Wheatley, Biankabutuka, Perry >> Ki-Jana Carter

@rachbry5
Don't know if there is an argument vs. Dane/George (both Heismen winners)....

@WesleyOnline
Dayne: 1st player to amass 7,000 + yards, shares the NCAA record for most 200 + yard games, Big Ten rushing/TD records (71).

@xanderer
(I think more so because his pro career was such a disaster.) #kijana

@djmontag
Ron Dayne EXCEPT when he played vs. Michigan. Michigan made him look ordinary, except for one long gain.

@rachbry5
What about Tyrone Wheatley or Tim Biakabutuka. Not great NFL careers but GREAT CFB/Big Ten players.

@mrose05
My fault! Had a little bit of a brain cramp there...I'm going Eddie George

@BetweenTheLions
Ki-Jana Carter or Curt Enis, anyone? Hard to argue with Dayne or George though.

@TimCary
Honestly then, I would probly rank both George & Dayne up there. Of course, hard 2 tell b/c PUR could never tackle good RBs;)

@TimCary
re: Alstott/George/Dayne discussion- U mean you're going to pull that whole "be unbiased and think logically" stuff on us? :)

@312WolfmanPSU
Ki-Jana Carter! Would have won the Heisman if the votes weren't split between him and Kerry Collins. People forget this.

@mlebowski313
Eddie George....He's got the statue to prove it

@feetforlove
I have to go with Dayne

@mazenblu
Dayne... and you could throw Anthony Thomas into the mix - though he played into 2000

@xanderer
Tie between Eddie George and Ki-Jana Carter. Both were superhuman—speed, balance, field vision. Dayne was a one-trick pony

@dyopchick
My vote is for Dayne. No one was more intimidating in the backfield.

@bucksinsider
Eddie George hands down.

@BurtonRider85
Mile Alstott!

@WesleyOnline
Ron Dayne. Heisman trophy, 2 Rose Bowl trophies, NCAA rushing record.

@BrentBishop
I'm going Eddie George of OSU

@pseroogy
Ron Dayne no question

@mraike
Obviously Eddie George

@TomokoHosaka
Darnell Autry! Go Cats!

@dtdbob3
Eddie. Eddie. Eddie. Go Bucks!

@ryanmathre
Ron Dayne would have to top the list...right?

@TimCary
Mike Alstott. Not sure if we loved him most b/c his talent was so incredible or b/c rest of program was so pathetic @ time!
